With objective of minimizing risk of prevailing mono sugarcane varietal situation, NSL has a proper Varietal Evaluation Plan. This helps in suggesting suitable variety for cultivation to the farmers after thorough suitability of varieties at multi locational trials. Efforts are being made to increase cane production by introducing high yielding varieties.
