  We should all be happy that NSL Sugars has posted better results with improved performance.It was possible with contribution from every one of you. At the same time, let us remember that we are behind our planned targets for the year and significantly lower as compared to potential opportunities. To realize the business potential and develop our operations towards long-term sustainability is a challenge before all of us. This challenge is a great opportunity for self-expression, which is the inner urge of any individual. Our goal is to ensure and see that NSL Sugars is the efficient institution in all respects with spread of benefits to all key stakeholders. It is possible; we can reach our goal in defined time frame of about 2-3 years with devotion, dedication, commitment, discipline, hard work and strong determination.

  One of the potential areas that need sustained focus is Cane development to achieve important operational parameters:

  It is not my intention to talk to you through this limited space about all our challenges and plans. However, I assure you that we have a road map to re-engineer our business and HR processes to improve all round efficiencies with optimal cost and work on value additions. Above all, employee welfare and satisfaction is upper most in our mind.

  Mr. K Ramakoteswara Rao is a Post Graduate in Thermal Power Engineering from Banaras Hindu University. He is presently the Vice Chairman for NSL Sugars and Power Business of NSL Group Ltd. Mr. KRK Rao’s illustrious career in power and sugar businesses spans over 30 years. He joined NSL Group in 1991.

  Mr. KRK Rao is instrumental in setting up several NSL Group projects which are running successfully. He built NSL Sugar business from scratch and successfully set up major integrated sugar plants in different parts of India with 27000 Tons crushing capacity per day of sugarcane, 150 MW Cogeneration Power Plants and 120 KLPD Ethanol Plant.

  Under his leadership, NSL Power has set up 150 MW Wind Power Plants at different locations in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and also 15 MW Biomass power plants in Andhra Pradesh. New Wind Power Projects of 250 MW are in pipeline at different stages of execution.

  Mr. KRK Rao also serves on the boards of various NSL Group companies, which include NSL Energy Ventures Pvt Ltd., NSL Nagapatnam Power & Infratech Pvt Ltd., NSL Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd., NSL Orissa Power & Infratech Pvt Ltd.

  Prior to joining NSL Group, Mr. KRK had a 10 year stint with Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd., a premiere Public Sector Company in India, where he was responsible for design of centrifugal compressors, system engineering of thermal power plants and project engineering management of thermal power plants.

  Dr. Hapase is well known techie in the field of agriculture (specialized in the Sugarcane Crop) and has over 5 decades of remarkable experience in Agricultural Research & Development with specialization in sugar cane production improvement. Dr. Hapase is instrumental in identifying and releasing cane varieties viz. Co 7219, Com 7125, Co 7527, CoC 671, for Peninsular Zone.
  
  Dr. Hapase was earlier associated as a Director of Vasantdada Sugar Institute, Pune. He is an active member in various forums and holds memberships with more than 15 institutes constituted for the purpose of promotion of agriculture. He has a proven track record of establishing & imparting vigorous training to the farmers to improve the overall yield in Maharashtra and other States. He has strong understanding, in-depth knowledge & experience in the analysis of the varietal sugarcane which gives more yield and quality cane. He is also the editor of various magazines and has published various research papers for the development of agriculture in India. Dr. Hapase is a technical advisor to many sugar mills situated in various states of India. He holds directorship in some of the sugar companies and he is a member of the Sugar Technology Mission Advisory Committee.

  Dr. GSC Rao is the president of Sugar Technologists of India and also a member of Indian Sugar Mills Association. He is also the chairman of Agriculture and Sugarcane sub-committee (ISMA) and member of the Advisory Committee of National Sugar Institute. Mr. Rao is member/invitee in various industry related committees constituted by Government of India and various State Governments. He is also associated with various International associations like ISSCT, SIT and IAPSIT. He is the Chairman of organizing committee of IAPSIT.
  
  He is a Sugar expert with huge experience both in technical and commercial aspects of Sugar Business and has established Greenfield projects in sugar refinery, distillery, power co-generation and ethanol. Dr. Rao has also published more than 80 research papers in international and national journals and conveyance. Mr. Rao was earlier associated as a member of World Bank Consultant Group to review the progress of rehabilitation and modernization of Sudan Sugar Corporation funded by IMF.

  Corporate Social Responsibility: NSL Group always gives prime importance to CSR, we believe in the responsibility of a corporation such as ours to the society it lives in, and the need for it to contribute to the betterment of that society. We have therefore set up the Mandava Foundation to pursue that goal.   The operational results of NSL Sugars Limited have shown considerable improvement over the previous years. For the year 2018 -19 we have to enhance our crushing capacity with the help of value addition in all the areas.

  Mrs. M. Asha is presently the woman director of NSL Sugars Ltd. She also holds the directorship position in other verticals of the group. She is actively involved in social activities in upliftment of rural Education and health.

  Mr. M Venkatram Chowdary, more commonly known as Venkat, is an young & dynamic prospective entrepreneur hailing from the well-known business family in Andhra Pradesh. Mr. Venkat inherits business acumen and provides the dynamic leadership to the fastest growing NSL Group’s business arm. Mr. Venkat is a great admirer of his father Mr. Prabhakar Rao and Grandfather Sri. M Venkatramaiah and would like to prove himself as successful businessman following in their footsteps. Mr. Venkat is already a part of the senior management team at NSL Textiles Limited, a part of Hyderabad based NSL Group, as he holds the position of Whole Time Director. He oversees the operations of Textile units right from Ginning to Fabric production.
